Escape From the Ordinary Yields Unimaginable Rest and Serenity
Nature lover Ray Bailey, who once said “I would just die to see a grizzly bear in the wild,” met his goal Friday afternoon on what was to be the last day of his one week vacation to Glacier National Park in Montana.
Bailey, whose various parts were retrieved from tree branches, high brush and a shallow creek apparently met his violent end on a semi-secluded hiking trail shortly after biting into a tasty Payday Peanut Caramel Bar, with sweet caramel and tons of salty peanuts.
The avid outdoorsman, who has always expressed a wish to die a peaceful, natural death, went to his grave at least half-satisfied. As ranger Pete Parker stated, “Nothing’s more natural than a wild animal facing off in battle against a rival that enters his scent-marked territory.”
Why Mr. Bailey failed to heed the scented warnings remains a mystery. But his Columbia® Men’s Criterion Insulated Parka (available at Sun & Ski Sports) and his Timberland GORE-TEX® Chocorua Trail hiking boots (available at Dick’s Sporting Goods) are being studied for clues.
